MEGASKILLS at the Gaming Projects Cluster Meeting

The MEGASKILLS Project took part in the Games Innovation System Cluster Meeting hosted by the European Commission. The event brought together cutting-edge Horizon Europe projects exploring how gaming, education, and technological innovation can advance European policy priorities — particularly in the areas of digital learning, skills development, and employability.

During the session on Gaming Ecosystems and Needed Skills, we shared our mission, objectives, methodology, latest piloting results, and key publications — demonstrating how our unique model, which integrates commercial video games, Big Data analytics, AI, and behavioural science, can support the assessment and certification of soft skills critical for today's evolving labour market.

Our presentation focused on how MEGASKILLS transforms gameplay into measurable learning outcomes, validated through Europass official recognition, and how this model contributes to closing the skills gap, empowering underrepresented groups, and aligning education with labour market needs.

We also highlighted recent project milestones, including the release of a Policy Brief with actionable recommendations and the open-access book "Soft Skills for the 21st Century: Defining a Framework for Navigating Human-Centered Development in an AI-Driven World"

Grateful to connect with fellow #HorizonEU projects and EU policymakers to co-create the future of gamified upskilling and inclusive talent development.
